"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal,
and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as
sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth
her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and
every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the
chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free
man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and
hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the
wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his
wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" Re 6:12-17

HISTORY OF THE REMANT OF GOD'S TRUE ON EARTH
Rev 11:3-12
Revelation 11 represents the history of Christ's Faithful remnant during
the reign on the antichrist. Although severely persecuted the apostate
church could not silence them. In 1514, after an extended
campaign to stamp out their testimony, the Catholic Church
believed that they had succeeded, only to have this illusion shattered
three and one half years later by the start of the protestant
reformation.
The suppression of Christ's true witnesses is also likened to the
trampling of the temple of God; the true and holy part hidden from
view, the outward visible Church is overrun with apostasy."But
before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you,
delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought
before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall
answer:
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all
your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."
Lk 21:12-15
|
NOTE 1 - THE WAR AGAINST THE TWO WITNESSES
Rev 11:7
1179 - Third Lateran Council forbids the
harboring of heretics and denies them burial.
1183 - Bull of Lucius III giving power to secular
government for punishment of all heretics.
1198 - Innocent III urges clergy to employ
arms of all princes and people for the extirpation of heretics
1215 - Fourth Lateran Councils subordinates
all secular power to the spiritual and absolves all vassals of
allegiance to secular powers who fail to root out heresy.
1514 - Fifth Lateran Council declares that heretics
have been completely silenced.
|
NOTE 2 - THE THREE AND ONE HALF DAYS IN WHICH
THE WITNESSES LIE DEAD
Rev 11:9-12
On May 5, 1514 the Fifth Lateran Council declared:
"There is an end of resistance to the Papal rule and religion: opposers
there exist no more... The whole body is subject to its head, i.e. to
thee."
On October 31st, 1517 Martin Luther launched the Protestant Reformation
when he nailed his ninety-five theses on the door at Wittenberg.

PAGAN ROME PERSECUTES THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED FAITH"And
the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for
to devour her child as soon as it was born.
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a

THERE WAS WAR IN
HEAVEN
THE STRUGGLE BETWEEN CHRISTIANITY AND PAGANISM FOR CONTROL OF THE ROMAN
EMPIRE
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels
fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not;
neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great
dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan,
which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his
angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:7-9 |
THE WOMAN IN THE
WILDERNESS
ISRAEL IN DISPERSION FOR 1260 YEARS"And
the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of
God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days." Re 12:6
"And to the woman were given two wings of a great
eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she
is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of
the serpent." Re 12:14
"Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and,
behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for
they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah
between the earth and the heaven. Then said I
to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land
of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base."
